How to share a dossier within your firm
How sharing works in V2
Wealth Recon defaults to All dossiers in this firm visibility. Every dossier you generate is visible to every advisor in your firm-tenant by default. You do not need to explicitly share each dossier; your colleagues already see it in their own dossier list.
If you want to point a specific colleague at a specific dossier, use the share-link affordance described below.
Default visibility versus explicit share
The dashboard's filter bar defaults to All dossiers in this firm. Two narrowing filters sit alongside the default: Mine (dossiers I requested) and Shared with me (dossiers a colleague explicitly shared with me).
The default exists because the tenant-wide posture is the value the contact intelligence layer enables. An advisor who needs a tighter view sets the Mine filter once and the Uniform Resource Locator search params remember it.
How to share a specific dossier
Three paths.
Path 1: Send the dossier link
Inside the in-app reader, the Uniform Resource Locator in your browser's address bar is a deep link to the dossier. Copy the link and paste it into any internal channel (Slack, email, Microsoft Teams). Your colleague opens the link, signs in if not already authenticated, and lands directly on the dossier reader.
Cross-tenant links return a permission error rather than the dossier itself. Sharing a Wealth Recon link with someone outside your firm-tenant does not expose any dossier content.
Path 2: Use the action menu's Share within tenant button
The reader's top region has an action menu with five buttons: Download Portable Document Format, Export for Compliance, Share within tenant, Audit log, Account preferences.
Click Share within tenant. A small dialog opens with a list of advisors in your firm-tenant. Select one or more advisors; click Send. The selected advisors receive an email with a deep link to the dossier and a brief note (you can add a one-line message in the dialog before sending).
The Shared with me filter on each recipient's dossier list captures the dossier so they can find it later without searching.
Path 3: Email the styled Portable Document Format
Click Download Portable Document Format from the reader's action menu. The Portable Document Format streams as a download. Email the file to your colleague through your firm's normal email channel. The Portable Document Format is the same artifact the in-app reader renders; it carries every claim, every citation, the Source Manifest, and the freshness indicator.
This path is appropriate when your colleague wants the file outside the gated app (for example, when they are about to walk into a meeting and would rather have the Portable Document Format on their phone than a reader link).
What does NOT happen
- Sharing within your firm-tenant does not consume an additional credit. The original credit at request time covers all advisors in the tenant.
- Sharing does not notify the dossier subject. Subjects of Wealth Recon dossiers do not have visibility into who has accessed their dossier.
- Cross-tenant sharing is not supported in V2. There is no path to send a Wealth Recon dossier link to an advisor at a different firm. If you need to share with an external colleague, the styled Portable Document Format is the right artifact; you control distribution from there.
